Schaeffler will once again be part of the VDI technology mile in Nuremberg's city center this year. Two days before the start at the Norisring, the Schaeffler representative will answer questions in an interview on Thursday, 21 June 2018, at 3 pm, and of course will also sign autographs. You can also see Rockenfeller's more than 500 hp and 275 km / h Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM. On both days, experts will inform about the training as well as entry and career opportunities at Schaeffler.
Schaeffler will be showing what the future of mobility can look like with the "E-Wheel Drive" electric wheel hub drive for technology enthusiasts. Here, the electric motor, power electronics, brake and cooling are installed to save space in the rim. A concept that allows completely new e-cars. Trainees show their self-assembled 3D printer. Participation is required in the welding simulator, which is equipped with a virtual welding glasses. On a touch-screen monitor, visitors can see energy production via energy storage and energy use, where Schaeffler technology is used along the entire energy chain.
The VDI Technology Mile will take place on Thursday and Friday, 21 and 22 June 2018, from 10 am to 7 pm on Karolinenstrasse and at Lorenzer Platz in Nuremberg. Companies, universities and research institutes from the most diverse fields of technology and science present their technological developments under the motto "Technology is we - engineering is action" and want to inspire the next generation for technical occupations.
